Scripture of the Month
Eph 2:4-5 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ.
Asking for your help
I’m asking that you would pray about helping us with support in 2010. At least I thought you should know the need. Last year our family was in transition. This year we are trying to move forward. If you can do something, praise God, if you cannot, praise God. We love you for who you are, not what you give. Thank you so much for investing into the world and our lives. I believe we are making a difference in Jesus Name.
Thanks for loving the world,
Rusty
Denise’s Corner
I pray everyone was off to a good start in 2010. As you know Rusty just returned from Haiti. He is still talking about the way God is using His people to help the country. What an honor to be a part. He hopes to return in the next couple of weeks. Jessica just started her second semester at LSU and is doing great. “Much easier this time,” she said. Caleb just finished drivers ed and passed. That means a permit for him in the next couple of weeks. I told Rusty “I will never get to drive my car again.” What a whipping! I think I’m going to need to be heavily sedated. Joshua is doing great in school. He is very excited that he has been making A’s on his test at school. They just started taking them. Keep us in your prayers. We are expecting God to do great things this year.
Love, Denise
Haiti, But God!
This last week I got to see some amazing devastation like I have not seen before. Pastor Dino and Healing Place Church sent us to Haiti to see what we could do that would be effective. As we were talking to doctors and pastors we had the opportunity to minister at the local hospital and pray for people. We help bring doctors to the Good Samaritan Hospital were there were hundreds of patients. We stayed at pastor Labadays house and had an
opportunity to show Jesus to a kid that crushed his leg. He had been like that for seven days.. They asked us if we could take him to the hospital. We took him to Love a Child and the doctors operated on him. The last picture is him getting in our car. Also there were some miracles that happened. When I left I had the opportunity to fly out of Port-a Prince on a cargo plane (first miracle). When I got to Santiago customs they stopped me until the lady saw my name. Guess what her name was Dominguez, she thought we were cousins, she stamped my passport with no exit visa, (second miracle). First taxi out of airport took me to Santa Domingo, third miracle, Jesus!
